A MAN with no fixed abode has received a £100 fine and a community order for possession of a knife in Tudor Square, Tenby.

James Donald, of Llangunnor Road, Carmarthen, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 1 for sentencing, following guilty pleas on August 3.

The 35-year-old had in public “without good reason or lawful authority” a steak knife at Tudor Square, Tenby on July 11, and having been released from Haverfordwest Police Station on bail, had failed to surrender to custody at the Magistrates’ Court on July 28.

The year-long community order includes 12 months of mental health treatment under psychologist Dr Danae Glinou and nine months’ alcohol treatment under the direction of DDAS.

The knife was confiscated.
