A MAN from Swansea accused of intentional strangulation at Stepaside will face a crown court trial.

Franklyn Connor-Hughes, of Bishops Wood Grove, Newton, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 8.

At Stepaside, Pembrokeshire between January 1, 2020 and August 31, 2023, Connor-Hughes is charged with intentional strangulation. He is also charged with repeatedly or continuously engaging in behaviour which was controlling or coercive, namely assaulting the complainant on several occasions.

The 57-year-old was sent to Swansea Crown Court for trial on conditional bail, the next hearing to take place on October 9. Bail conditions prohibit him from contacting any of a list of 17 people. He is also forbidden from entering two specified premises in Kilgetty and Haverfordwest.
