A PEMBROKE Dock driver has been banned for 12 months after admitting to drug driving.

Nathan John, of Military Road, Pennar, appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on September 22, pleaded guilty to driving a Seat Leon on the Ferry Road at Pennar on May 10, when the proportion of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, a controlled drug, in his blood measured 5.8ug/L, exceeding the specified limit.

John also pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle when the rear nearside and offside tyres had the ply or cord exposed.

In addition to the year-long ban, the 28-year-old was fined £120 for drug driving, and £80 for the state of his vehicle’s tyres. His driving record was endorsed (no points).

An £80 surcharge was added to £85 costs.
