A PEMBROKE man has been sentenced in court after pleading guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress.

Cai Jones, of Buttermilk Close, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on September 28.

Between August 20 and September 6, at Pembroke, Jones had made unwanted contact through letters, social media and attendance at the home address of a woman which amounted to stalking causing serious alarm or distress. This behaviour had a substantial adverse effect on her usual day-to-day activities.

Jones was ordered to pay £200 in compensation, plus costs of £85 and an £114 surcharge.

The 20-year-old was given a community order and restraining order, to last until March 27, 2028, with 150 hours’ unpaid work and up to 15 days’ rehabilitation activity.
