A NARBERTH woman has been sentenced to 42 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for two years, and ordered to pay £1,500 in compensation for an assault at Tenby.
Courtney Howells, of Martletwy, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 27 for sentencing.
On January 6, the 28-year-old had pleaded guilty to assaulting a female at Tenby on September 27 thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm, contrary to section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. Glass was thrown during the incident.
The custodial sentence was suspended because of a realistic prospect of rehabilitation and two dependents. 150 hours’ unpaid work are required, 60 days’ alcohol abstinence and a restraining order. CPS Costs and victim services surcharge totalled £272.
