A MAN from Cardigan guilty of intentionally strangling a woman at Haverfordwest will be sentenced at Crown Court later this month.

Carl Rago, of Penffynnon, Cilgerran, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 1.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to committing intentional strangulation at Haverfordwest on May 25.

He also admitted criminal damage to the inside of a police vehicle and to a mobile ’phone belonging to Dyfed-Powys Police at Haverfordwest on May 7.

For the criminal damage, Rago was fined £40 plus compensation of £270 and £85 costs. Since he had broken bail conditions, and given the seriousness of the offence, he was remanded in custody, the next hearing to take place on September 22 at Swansea Crown Court.
