A CLYNDERWEN driver has been banned for 17 months and ordered to do 100 hours’ unpaid work for drug driving on the Cleddau Bridge.

Henri Hempleman appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 1.

He pleaded guilty to driving a BMW 1 Series car on the A477 on May 16 when the proportion of three controlled drugs in his blood was above the legal limit: Benzoylecgonine (324ug/L) - over six times the legal limit), Cocaine (18ug/L) and Delta-9 (2.7ug/L)

The 22-year-old also pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle when the front offside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed. He was fined £307 and his driving record endorsed (no points).
