ROUTES to Discovery kicked the new year off with a wellbeing gathering at South Scolton Woods Roundhouse for a campfire singalong.

Twenty-four people came along for the tasty and nutritious hot food, woodland walk, brews and biscuits, turning it into a mini festival with great company and loads of laughs.

Sara Walters thanked everyone who attended, and Jerry for welcoming the group to share his beautiful woodland and roundhouse. “What a lovely, relaxed vibe to set the tone for the coming year,” she said, adding: “We have lots of epic things planned and are looking forward to another fab year!”

Routes to Discovery is a people-led project, which is all about the restorative powers of Pembrokeshire’s amazing outdoors and especially its National Park.
Routes to Discovery is for young carers, young people, unpaid carers; for people whose mobility reduces opportunities for them to benefit from time spent accessing the outdoors. It’s for people who identify as having poor mental health too, and for anyone who would like to experience the wellbeing benefits of time spent outdoors.

The activities are designed to be accessible, fun and relaxing, with the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people.
“Newcomers very welcome, it’s a great time to get involved! Why not get in in touch - come and join us?” added Sara.
