A fisherman airlifted from rocks near a South Pembrokeshire beach on Tuesday has died. The alarm was raised shortly before 9 am when the coastguards at Milford Haven Operations Room received a 999 call from a person stating they could see someone waving from the rocks at the side of Barafundle Bay. The St. Govan's coastguard team and the range safety vessel 'Smit Neyland' were tasked and on arrival, the coastguards found 54-year-old Charles Gorry, of Pembroke Dock, collapsed and unconscious on the rocks. A rescue helicopter from Chivenor (Rescue 169) was scrambled and transferred Mr. Gorry to Withybush Hospital Haverfordwest.
