A man charged with three counts of assault in Tenby last summer during a busy has admitted the offences in court.

Thirty-two-year-old Anthony Russell Kennedy, of Fields Road, Oakfield, Cwmbran appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday to admit two counts of assault by beating on a male and female; and a further charge of common assault on another female.

The incident which occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, August 17, saw a melee occur on St George Street with many families witnessing the fight which occurred in broad daylight.

Magistrates handed the defendant a 12 month community order to include 100 hours of unpaid work, and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £90 victim surcharge.

Mr. Kennedy was also ordered to pay £150 compensation to one of the victims.
