ANOTHER week of poor weather saw the postponement of dinghy races and the final race in the Redwing series at Tenby Sailing Club.
The final race of the cruiser season was also postponed and is now scheduled for 4 October.
Twenty young sailors enjoyed a fun evening of practical games and a quiz, and received their RYA stage 1-4 certificates from Commodore Blake Shaw on Wednesday, 17 September. Terry Evans and Chris Hill satisfied their inner needs with another splendid BBQ.
The training centre is holding an end of season meeting on Wednesday 24th September at 5.30pm to review this year’s training and plan for next year.
It is primary aimed at dinghy and power boat instructors and the regular helpers but anyone interested is welcome to go along and join in.
The end of training BBQ is on September 24th, and the end-of-season party for members will be a curry night on Saturday 27th, which coincides with the last race of the dinghy summer season, and on 24th October there will be a bangers and mash evening in supporting the RNLI where Cockles and Muscles will sing sea shanties.
Terry will be hosting the first quiz of the winter season on 25th October.
15th November is the Blues Festival, and the 21st is the TSC Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel in Narberth with transport provided.
The AGM is on November 29th.
There will be a Christmas party in the Club on 20th December.
The Boxing Day swim follows on, and New Year’s Eve in the Club will be a night to remember.
Owners with the larger vessels in Tenby Harbour will be preparing for the annual lift-out on Thursday October 9th.
