The West Wales Ladies Bowling Association recently held their annual luncheon and presentation of trophies event at the Begelly Arms.
Opening proceedings, a business meeting took place which included a resume of the outdoor season and the election of officers to serve for 2026.
These were : President Dianne Scourfield of Whitland; Senior Vice President Angela Thomas of Milford Haven; Junior Vice President Ysie White of Tenby; Secretary Kath Blayney of Saundersfoot; Treasurer Tracy John of Haverfordwest; and Competition Secretary Cally Jones of Whitland.
All the clubs who had hosted events throughout the season were thanked for their hospitality and also Collette Bethwaite who had always been there to officiate as umpire.
Following the luncheon, outgoing President Gwen Hale of Pendine together with Cally presented the 2025 competition winners and runners up with their awards.
Four Wood Singles - winner Ysie White, runner up Katie Thomas.
Senior Four Wood Singles (Autumn Cup) - winner Kath Blayney, runner up Pam Langdon
Under 18s singles - winner Eleanor Davies, runner up Emily Davies.
Two Wood Singles - winner Tracey Hollins, runner up Pat Price
Under 25s Four wood singles - winner Chloe Thomas, runner up Katie Dickinson.
Under 35s Four Wood Singles - winner Katie Thomas, runner up Chloe Thomas
2 Wood Pairs - winners Gemma Redd and Steph Amos, runners up Pat Price and Lorna Hooper
4 Wood Pairs - winners Kathy Jenner and Cally Jones, runners up Pam Langdon and Julie Thorpe.
Triples - winners Gemma Redd, Steph Amos and Ann Lewis, runners up Kathy Jenner, Tracy Hollins and Cally Jones.
Rink - winners Gemma Redd, Kath Blayney, Steph Amos and Ann Lewis runners up Jill Smith, Viv Kidder, Shelagh Phillips and Angie Dicks.
The Margaret Bryant Trophy winners were Pat Benn, Leona Davies, Ann Marie Main and Penny Brickle with Julie Kirk, Ann Jones, Jenny Harris and Val Hubbard runners up.
All those who had gained international success were congratulated, with special mention of Ysie White who had also achieved the accolade of becoming the Welsh 4 Wood Singles winner at the Llandrindod Wells championships.
Mention was made of several youngsters who had played in the competitions who were to be encouraged as they were the future of the association.
