EXPECTATIONS were high for an exciting evening of dinghy racing at Tenby Sailing Club on Tuesday, April 7th, but sadly as the boats neared the starting line the wind died away completely.
Conversely on Saturday, too much wind caused the cancellation of the first inter club races for the Dr White Cup.
With an improvement in the weather conditions the Club Handicap races will continue on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Class racing for Redwings will be on Thursdays, starting on May 7th. R155 “Tern” won’t be quite ready for that. Kevin Upstill is a keen restorer of Redwings in his local workshop.

The Cruiser Racing yachts will have their first race on Friday, April 17th.
The weather was far more suitable for the 31 keen juniors to began their training.
Tata Steel Sailing Club hosted the 2026 Osprey Welsh and Midland Championship on April 11/12 in very blustery conditions.
Five races were sailed over the two days, with one discard. Fifteen entries were reduced to eight boats completing four races. Dave and Maurice in Carpé Diem gained fifth position overall after taking an unwanted bath on day one.
