THE annual exercise to crane the boats back into Tenby harbour waters got underway today on Wednesday, April 1, ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
After the recent practice races, the dinghy racing season got underway at Tenby Sailing Club on Tuesday, March 31.
Robin Wood, sailing his Europe 444 won the first race in the midweek series with Steve Leach in Contender 646 in second place.
Julian Cumpsty gained third place points as Race Officer . Sadly, Easter Saturday did not offer suitable conditions for dinghy sailing. Storm Dave made it impossible to sail. Class racing for Redwings begins on Thursday May 7.
Junior Training
Senior Instructor Harrison Richards and his team will be tutoring 29 youngsters who have registered to take part in the Wednesday evening sessions, On the water training begins on Wednesday, April 8, from 5pm.
Clubhouse
Terry’s next quiz will be on Saturday April 11that 8pm.
