With the autumn internationals having perhaps affected continuity, Tenby United slumped to their second successive league defeat on Saturday.
A win would have put them top of the division three west table, but instead the 33-19 reversal against Gorseinon has seen them slip to third, four points behgind new leaders Newcastle Emlyn and a point adrift of second placed Amman United, who have two games in hand on them both.
Gorseinon themselves are having a good season, currently lying in fourth position in the table, and they were full value for their victory against the disappointed Seasiders.
They bagged four tries, as well as landing three penalties and two conversions, while the United's points came from a try by centre Jack Guerreiro and penalties from the boots of Toby Smith and Lloyd Thomas.
The United will be hoping to return to winning ways when they play their next league game against Pontarddulais on December 29, but they will have a chance to put things right next Wednesday evening when they entertain Neyland at Heywood Lane in the next round of the Pembrokeshire Knockout Cup, kick-off 7 pm.
