Matchplay Draws

Members are asked to please be aware that matchplay entries close on April 1, with a live draw taking place in the Manor House at 4 pm. There are eight matchplay trophies to play for. Please give the Pro Shop a call if you would like to register.

Family Day

On Saturday, April 13, Trefloyne will be holding its first family day. The day is open to local families to come and experience golf as a family. The day will start at 1 pm, including mum and dad clinics, child fun sessions, followed by a family competition. The day is aimed at both new and existing golfers, with the opportunity of attending six free taster sessions, followed by a one-month free trial membership. Tri Golf School

and Fun Sessions

This week sees the end of the ConceptGolf academy team teaching Tri Golf in 10 primary schools across Pembrokeshire for another term. Over 300 children have been learning the game under our supervision. We have had amazing fun teaching all the schools and hope the children have enjoyed it as much as we have. Over three weeks the children have learnt the name for club components, set up, swing and pose amongst many other things.

The weather has been kind to us in that all sessions went ahead as scheduled, which was brilliant for all. We hope as many children as possible will continue with the game and we at Trefloyne endeavour to make this a reality.

The uptake and continued progression from the guys learning in the schools to attending our junior fun sessions has been incredible. Thank you all parents who bring their children along on Sundays and thank you to all the schools for working with us to give out our letters.

A record was set last weekend, with 21 new juniors attending our Sunday (under 11s) session, along with our other talented juniors. Let's keep making this number increase!

Just to remind everyone, we hold junior fun sessions for under 11s every Sunday 10.30 am -11.30 am and for over 11s 11.30 am - 12.30 pm.

Tiny Tiger Girls News

A massive congratulations to the Saturday girls group who when asked to provide us with three facts on the Ryder Cup returned with eight A4 pages of information and pictures. As a tribute to your hard work, it is now up in our Pro Shop for all to see.

Trefloyne Junior Academy and Fun Day

Following on from the fantastic improvements in the last set of academy classes, they will hopefully start up again in two weeks, so please stay tuned for more information and check your emails to receive the letters regarding this.

We are hoping to hold another Junior Fun Day for our massive junior section at Trefloyne to provide a day dedicated to all juniors.

Trefloyne First Team Squad

Well done to the members of our first team squad who attended the short game clinic at Cardigan this week in Dyfed County Coaching. Great work guys. Please remember, all matchplay draw sheets are in the Pro Shop - let's have a junior winner following on from George Taylor's success in Club Championships 2012.

On Sunday, March 31, our 10-player first team squad will be having their first competitive match against Tenby juniors away at 2 pm. Good luck guys! We hope the new team shirts sponsored by Neil Finlay Cars bring you all the confidence you need to win.

In the Pro Shop is the entry form for the Asburnham Junior Open Dyfed Order of Merit event. We have a few names down, but would like a full team to go and try to win as many prizes as possible. The match is on April 1.
