Whitland played Carew in the semi-finals of the Tony Pidgeon Ormond Youth Cup (some action shots are seen below) at the stunningly beautiful setting of Crymych cricket ground. It was a really exciting game which Whitland went on to win by just 13 runs, despite Geraint Phillips receiving a nasty blow from a ball off the bat of his partner, Steffan James!
