Darts
After a couple of heavy defeats, we travelled to the Castle Inn with some trepidation. The first game was won on the usual double one. We then lost the next three games due to our nemesis, lack of finishing.
Then came the turning point of the evening. The next game must have been the longest game ever recorded anywhere in the world - it eventually went our way, much to the delight of the team who had slipped into some form of darting torpa.
Apart from one game, the rest of the games went our way, with the father and son duo of Paul and Jonathan Morris getting the winning double. Terry Evans and Blake Shaw won all their matches and the match was eventually completed by breakfast (joking).
The Castle made us very welcome, enjoying the evening as much as we did. It's nice to record a rare victory, which is still being celebrated.
There is no league game scheduled for this evening, so it's much-needed practice, especially on the double front. Participating members, please note the practice session is obligatory!
