Darts

We are back in action this evening when we are away to the Cross Inn, Penally - another darting outfit which has not shown us any mercy in the past. Practice went as expected, which did not inspire. Let's wait and see - watch this space.

It's that time of year. Yes the annual subscriptions are due. This year we are running a weekly draw which can only be won if you are present in the club when the draw is made and you are a paid up member. See below.

Weekly Draw

The eighth draw took place last Saturday which resulted in a win for Mike Stace. The draw was independently verified by the draw master, Paul Redford. The next draw takes place tomorrow (Saturday) evening at 9 pm when the prize will be £50. Please note - you must be present and have your membership card with you to claim the prize!

Jam Evening

Monday's acoustic jam session was a most enjoyable one with all participants giving their all. Watch this space for the dates of the next electric and acoustic jams.

Humour

It was a dark, stormy, night. The sailor was on his first assignment, and it was guard duty. The captain stepped out taking his dog for a walk. The nervous young seaman snapped to attention, made a perfect salute, and shouted out, "Good Evening, Sir!"

The captain returned the salute and said "Good evening seaman, nice night, isn't it?" Well, it wasn't a nice night, but the sailor wasn't going to disagree with the captain, so he saluted again and replied, "Yes Sir!"

The captain continued, "You know there's something about a stormy night that I find soothing, it's really relaxing. Don't you agree?" The seaman didn't agree, but then the seaman was just a seaman, and responded, "Yes Sir!"

Then the captain, pointing at the dog, said, "This is a Golden Retriever, the best type of dog to train." The seaman glanced at the dog and said, "Yes Sir!" The captain continued, "I got this dog for my wife." The seaman simply said, "Good trade Sir!"
