THERE was perfect weather for Tenby Regatta over the weekend but sadly not enough wind for Sunday’s Round Caldey Race, writes Geoff Titterton.
Dinghy Racing
23 dinghies took part on Saturday. Three races were sailed, with overall results: 1, Scorpion 1933, Peter Rose and Igor Otahal; 2, Phantom 1435, Ben Dancer; 3, Phantom 1451, Jon Nuttall; 4, Osprey 1348, Oscar Chess and David Downes; 5, Europe 444, Robin Wood; 6, Osprey 1380, Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait; 7, Osprey 1386, Paddy Lewis and Tom Holland; 8, Osprey 1365, Dave Griffiths and Maurice Clarke; 9, RS Tera Pro 4895, Isabelle Nuttall.
Osprey Class races
Seven boats sailed three races. The results were: 1, 1386, Paddy Lewis and Tom Holland; 2, 1365, Dave Griiffiths and Maurice Clarke; 3, 1348, Oscar Chess and David Downes; 4, 1380, Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait; 5, 1338, Kenny Brown and Chris Butlers; 6, 1342, Ted Lewis and Lucas Boissevain; 7, 1330, John McKellar and Alastair Knibb.
The Commodore extended grateful thanks go to all the volunteers involved in making the event possible and congratulated junior Isabelle Nuttall for doing so well.
The Annual Passage Race from Hobbs Point to Tenby will be next Saturday, June 20.
