TENBY Dolphins had a super weekend of racing at the 2026 Pembrokeshire County Swimming Championships, with many incredible swims from all 27 participants from the club and 99 PBs!

Tenby and District Swimming Club came 3rd overall in Pembrokeshire, the swimmers earning 22 gold medals, 16 silver and 23 bronze between them.

It was great to have so many relay teams; all swimmers showed great team spirit, with the girls’ relay teams being awarded four silver medals and a gold medal going to the mixed 13 and under relay team. Congratulations to Mia, Olivia, Elizabeth D, Phoebe, Hazel, Skye, Bron, Kathryn, Liz C, Euan and Lucian.

Tenby had several swimmers qualify for the Skins Event, a fast paced elimination race where the top 8 from the 200m IM go head to head.

Euan M and Olivia D both finished 5th in the Jnr Skins Event.

Bron C finished 4th and Elizabeth D finished 3rd in the A Final.

A huge well done goes to Marley who swam in her very first gala.

The most significant PB from the weekend goes to Olivia in the 400m Freestyle., dropping a huge 42.52 seconds off her previous best time!

Elizabeth D deserves a special mention winning 12 gold medals out of 12 races with pbs in all of them, and contributing to three relay medals. Her greatest achievement was coming third in the senior skins.

Special thanks go to Elizabeth Clissold for organising the event and being on Poolside while competing herself; to Abbi, Emily and Alison for officiating; to Teresa, Sian, Nicola and Kelly for being on poolside. Also a big thanks to all the other volunteers and parents who helped make the weekend possible for all the swimmers.
