TENBY Sailing Club treasurer Terry Evans and President Blake Shaw accepted the Tenby Observer Community Kindness Business Award at the De Valence Pavilion on Friday, 9 October.

They would like to thank all those concerned for their tremendous effort and devotion to the running of the club over the past 12 months.

Dinghy Racing

Results for the season have been prepared by Peter Rose. The Overall result for the Cornish Down Bowl was a win for Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait, just one point ahead of Robin Wood. Third place went to Dave Griffiths and Maurice Clarke.

The Midweek series was won by Robin Wood, second was Steve Leach, and third was Julian Cumpsty.

The Early Season Weekend Trophy went to Robin Wood, second was Dan Jackson, and third was Howard Yeates.

The Mid Season Weekend series was won by Dan Jackson, second was Dave Griffiths, and third was Peter Rose.

The Late Season Weekend series was claimed by Ted Lewis, second was Ben Dancer, and third was Robin Wood.

Cup Races

The Dr White Cup, Joe Wright Cup and Simon Evans Cup all went to Dan Jackson with crew Matt Goldwait.

The South Beach Cup winner was Robin Wood, and the Thomas Cup was won by Julian Cumpsty.

The Frostbite series continued on Saturday, 10 October with two races on a bright sunny afternoon.

Race 1: 1, ILCA6, Julian Cumpsty; 2, R241, Steve Popple and Michelle James; 3, ILCA6, Howard Yeates.
