TENBY Golf Club Touring Professional Luke Harries produced a remarkable round on his home course last recently, carding a sensational 16-under-par 56 from the white tees.

Luke’s round featured 10 birdies and three eagles, with one of the standout moments coming at the notoriously difficult 4th hole, where he holed his second shot for eagle.

The club reported: “He continued the extraordinary scoring on the back nine, which he played in nine under par, although we may have to ask what happened on the 17th!

“Unfortunately, the score cannot be recognised as an official Tenby Golf Club course record, as winter rules were in place with preferred lies permitted.

“Nevertheless, it was an outstanding round of golf and a fantastic achievement. Huge congratulations to Luke, 56 around Tenby is some score!”

Tenby Golf Club is generally regarded as a challenging but fair links course. Its difficulty depends heavily on the weather, particularly the wind coming off Carmarthen Bay.
