CONGRATULATIONS to 20-year-old Liz Clissold on completing her 11-mile Chillswim Windermere End to End Swim 2026. That’s the equivalent of 710 lengths of Tenby Swimming Pool!

Yes, Liz swam from one end to the other of the longest lake in the country, and she came second female in her age group and 6th overall female, in a fantastic time: 5h29 minutes.

The swim started in heavy rain, then the wind picked up! The water was cold and very choppy which made sightings difficult. But eventually, the mist lifted and the sun broke through the heavy grey clouds.

A resounding thank you goes to Chillswim for its amazing safety crew.

Liz’s enjoyment and commitment to teaching swimming at Tenby Leisure centre and volunteer Coaching at Tenby and District Swimming Club is important to her.

Liz has always enjoyed swimming and has chosen to support Level Water - a charity that uses the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.
