Tenby AFC held its junior presentation night recently at the De Valance Pavilion and would like to thank Tenby Town Council for allowing them to do so, and Cath Graham and Clr. Chris Brown for all their help in preparing the evening.

Luke Lawrence was the MC and he opened the proceedings by firstly thanking Andrew Price, the club's main sponsor, whose financial support over the years has made Tenby AFC the success it is today.

He went on to thank all the individual team kit sponsors, the ground advertising board sponsors and the many businesses and individuals that have contributed to the club this year.

Luke commented that it had been another great season, having won one league championships, two league runners-up and three cup final runners-up. In fact, out of the seven teams involved in leagues (which includes the senior teams), five of the teams finished in the top four positions of their respective age groups. This is mainly due to the excellent coaching staff that the club has, which was responded to with a loud round of applause. Obviously, they can't do it without the commitment and dedication of all the players and the assistance and loyalty from the parents. Thank you all for making it a truly exceptional year once again.

Luke then introduced the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Trevor Hallett, who, on behalf of the town council, honoured another Tenby AFC player in recognition of his outstanding achievement in the sport of football. This year, it was Under 15s player Lloyd Hughes who had trials with Swansea City in the latter part of the season and impressed the coaches so much they signed him straightaway. Clr. Hallett presented Lloyd with a framed certificate.

Luke then introduced Sarah Davies, from the Andrew Price Group, and Dylan Rees, who has been playing for Cardiff City after he was spotted playing for Tenby U10s, to present the awards.

The Under 8s are coached by Dewi Davies and Andy MacDonald. They had a good first season of football and also acquitted themselves very well in the Tenby Round Table tournament. Each player received a commemorative medal.

The Under 9s are coached by Gavin Scotcher and Neil Proctor and are sponsored by Tenby Ladies Circle. The 9s had another great season of mini football and only lost one game all season, finishing up being crowned champions in the St. Clears tournament recently. Clubman of the year was Lewis Morgan, with Alex Wainwright being selected as the Most Improved player of the season. Archie Hughes was the Players' Player of the year and the coaches' choice for their Player of the Year was Rio Proctor.

The Under 10s, coached by Dene Hurlow and Gareth Noot, and sponsored by Quay West Holidays, of Newquay, have settled down to play some attractive football, losing only two games all season. They won three tournaments during the year, at Llandissilio, Aberaeron and St. Clears. Tate Lawrence was the Clubman of the Year, while Jacob Hipkiss was awarded the Most Improved player accolade. The players selected Dylan Noot as their Player of the Year and Dene picked Darren Gibson as his Player of the Year.

The Under 11s girls team is managed by Angela Nicholls and at times fielded two teams, but unfortunately due to lack of players this was only on rare occasions. The highlight of the season was the selection of Nieve Jenkins for the Swansea City Development squad. Angela presented each girl with a club commemorative medal.

The Under 11s, sponsored by Designdough, Sion Evans Carpentry and Wheelers, are under the watchful eye of Adam Brown, Colin Wherrett and Andy Griffin. They also enjoyed a good season and improved considerably during the year. They strengthened their squad and had six players representing Pembrokeshire at county level. Clubman of the Year went to Ollie Griffin, while Joe Simmons was voted Most Improved Player. The players picked Ollie Brown and Zac Rowell as their Player of the Year and the managers selected Lucas Probert as theirs.

The Under 12s, managed by Luke Lawrence and Steve Williams and sponsored by DVS and the Galloping Major, were again one of the top teams in Pembrokeshire, showing this by being runners-up in both the league and the cup and also winning the St. Clears tournament. Aidan Frazer was the Clubman of the Year and Most Improved went to Henry McBeth. Billy Lawrence received the Players' Player award, while Luke and Steve chose Max Brindley as their Player of the Year.

The Under 13s, managed by Matthew Broadhurst and Ian Poole, and sponsored by County Financial Consultants, had a difficult season due to a number of players leaving for various reasons. Matt has decided to step down next year and Ian will take over. The Clubman award went to Tom James, while the Most Improved Player was Callum Jocelyn. Tom Murphy won the Players' Player award and the Managers' Player was Tom Rossiter.

The Under 14s, who are sponsored by Andrew Price and managed by Lloyd Goforth, Jason Taylor and Neil Finlay, had an exceptional season. They were runners-up in the league and the cup and narrowly lost in the West Wales Cup final in Llanelli. Evan Laidlaw was the Clubman of the Year and Malley Paxton and Jack Parkinson shared the Most Improved Player award. The boys couldn't separate Harri Vaughan and Adam Davidson, so they shared ther Players' Player award and the Managers' Player was again shared by Harry Goforth and Dafydd Bevan.

The Under 15s, coached by Kevin Ferney and sponsored by Park Road Chip Shop, enjoyed another good season. They won the Pembrokeshire league with a very limited squad; however, an early exit in the cup meant their season was over by mid January. Special mention must go to Lloyd Hughes on signing for Swansea City and Spencer Williams for having Swansea trials, while Dan Evans had Regional Welsh trials. The Clubman award went to Luke Hartland, while Spencer Williams picked up the Most Improved player trophy. The players selected Owen Coombes as their Players' Player, while Adam John was the Managers' Player of the year.

The Under 16s, sponsored by the Atlantic Hotel and coached by Angela Nicholls, reached the quarter-finals of the West Wales Cup and the semi-finals of the Pembrokeshire Cup. They were also runners-up in the league. They had a fantastic tour to Villarreal and beat Spanish side Almazora 3-1. George Wilkins won the Clubman award and Norton Williams was Angela's Most Improved Player. She also chose Richard Tebbutt as her Player of the Year, while Jerome Mansbridge was the Players' Player.

The final presentations of the night were the club awards.
