JUST-TRI CAREW AIRFIELD DUATHLON
This was a fun duathlon for children aged between eight and 14 years of age organised by Sion Jenkins and his team of volunteers. The event provided a safe and secure environment on the old airfield for the kids to experience the distances set according to Welsh Triathlon and in relation to the Welsh Tri-Stars Series. Junior Aces took part and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
MAN UP UK’s RAS
DEWI SANT MARATHON
Michael Matthews came joint 10th in this epic marathon in a time of 5hrs, starting on Abereiddy Beach, running north along the Coast Path to Porthgain and then back along the Coast Path to St. Davids. passing Whitesands and finishing with a run through St. Davids Cathedral and up those steps!
ASICS GREATER MANCHESTER MARATHON
Sunday, April 8. Starting near Old Trafford Football Stadium, along Chester Road through Sale, Altrinham, Brooklands out to Flixton, Urmaston, finishing at the Lancashire County Cricket Club. Richard Slate and son Morgan Harwood Slate finished in 4hrs 42 and 4hrs 28, running along with their twins for their JDRF charity! Billy Connor and Bobby Connor in 4hrs 12. Mandy Draper in 4hrs 46 secs, just missing out on a London Marathon 2019 place by those 46 secs!!
DEVIZES HALF MARATHON
Start on Church Walk, next to The Green. The route went down Nursteed Road and headed towards Monument Hill, before looping off into the surrounding villages. Finishing on The Green with a spectator-friendly loop around the field. Hayden Johns came in 19th place in a time of 1hr 26 mins, Charles Winn-Jones 1hr 46 mins, Clare Winn-Jones 1hr 2hrs 28 mins and Lauren Johns in 2hrs 29mins.
HEREFORD DUATHLON
Vicky Jones took first Vet place in this 4.6 mile run/17 mile bike followed by a 2.2 mile run. Her time was 1hr 48 mins 54 secs The flat run course takes you through the city streets and out into the local villages. The bike course is undulating and takes in some of Herefordshire’s most beautiful countryside.
WELL DONE LILY
Many congratulations also to Lily Rice, winning a Silver Medal in the World Motorcross Wheelchair Championships in America last week

CLUB RIDES NEXT WEEK
All rides will leave Tenby Leisure Centre car park at 6 pm. We have three groups - with a sweeper led social group, the intention being that no-one gets left behind and all get a ride to suit their abilities. Front and rear lights a must and helmets to be worn on all club rides.
Tuesday, April 17, Route 54 (Ludchurch and Reynalton): Tenby, Heywood Lane, Pentlepoir, Begelly, Kilgetty, across dual carriageway, turn left for Ludchurch, bear left, turn left onto Tanners Lane, to Templeton, fork left at Boars Head pub, Reynalton, Jeffreyston, the Knapp, turn left at Heatherton, Gumfreston back to Tenby (approx. 21 miles). Sweepers - Simon Stanford and Dave Lewis.
Thursday, April 19, Route 71 (Fresh East and East Williamston): TLC, coast road to Jason Road, up to Fresh East, down to Lamphey, Ridgeway to Coal Lane, Dingle Lane, Knapp, old road to East Williamston, Clayford Road, New Hedges, TLC. (approx 21.8 miles). Sweepers - Nicola Coates and Nicky Logan.
