Well done to all those who competed in events during the past weekend.
Velo Birmingham: David Lewis. A 100-mile cycle on closed roads through the Staffordshire and Worcestershire countryside, with 1,754 feet of climbing.
Isle of Man Cycle Mountain Challenge: Jude Duignan and Wayne Duignan rode 37 miles - one lap of the famous TT course. Riding around the island taking in 2,132ft of climbing along rural pastures and with beautiful coastal views of the Irish sea.
The Admiral Swansea 10km: Morgan Slate. The route went along the iconic sweep of Swansea Bay.
Carmarthen Junior Tri: Teaghan and Eddie Waring (with the Tenby Just-Tri Team, Teaghan finishing in 24 mins 52, coming eighth in her category and Eddie in 19 min 03, 18th in his category.
Presentation by Tenby Town Council: On Tuesday, September 5, our president Gareth Rees along with his daughter Charlotte were invited to the Mayor’s Parlour to be presented with a scroll from Tenby Town Council. The scroll states ‘As 628th Mayor of the town of Tenby, may I, on behalf of the town council and the people of Tenby, extend my heartfelt congratulations to Tenby Aces for their fundraising efforts within the community. Signed Councillor, Mrs. Sue Lane - Mayor of Tenby.’ Many thanks to all for this recognition.
Our Summer Tuesday and Thursday club rides have now come to an end and we take this opportunity to thank all our members who took their turn as sweeper and John Hubbard for ‘organising’ the rides.
Best wishes to all Aces taking part this weekend in the Cardiff Half Marathon, Ironman Barcalona, Carmarthen Sprint Tri, Pembroke Go Tri, MTB Enduro High Tide to Low Tide Swim in Pembrey County Park and the Llangorse Lake 3km swim.
