Another ‘Ace’ weekend - very well done to all who competed.
Activity Wales Tri Ocean Lava, Fishguard Middle Distance (Half IM) 2.4m swim in sheltered Fishguard Bay, followed by a 56-mile bike on fast rolling road to St. David’s, then to Mathry on the coast road back to St David’s and return to Fishguard on main road, while the 13-mile run takes in two steep hills of Fishguard town - Emil Chwistek in five hours 24, Jamie Silvester 72nd in five hours 45, David Kent 84th in five hours 49. Also to Richard Gardiner coming in first place four hours 21 with relay team from Team Cranc (Ritchie doing run leg). Sprint distance (750m swim, 13-mile bike and 3km run) - Sophie Thomas finishing fourth lady overall in one hour 25.
Ferryside to Llansteffan Estuary 2km swim: Claire Stubbs, Steve Stubbs and David Meyrick.
Round the Bay Porthcawl, one-mile swim: Vicky Jones coming in first female swimmer.
Tenby 10k run: Billy Connor, Dave Gosling, Will Lewis, Harry Goforth, Rhys Thomas, Simon Lewis, Huw Bridges, James Harries, Lisa Watkins, Ceris Hewlings, Donna James, Bethan Osborne, Jill Kent, Claire Stubbs and Steve Stubbs - dressed as 118 118 with Claire carrying a collecting box for the RNLI. Well done once again to the TROTS Run Club for a great local event.
Tenby Round Table Summer Spectacular dunk tank: Many thanks to all who came down to a take turn in the dunk tank and helped out. We raised £110 for the Withybush Chemotherapy Day Care Unit - doing it again Sunday13th if peeps can spare a few hours. The youngsters were brilliant helping out, Teaghan Waring, Geertman brothers, Poppy Griffiths, Luke Wilson and Teaghan’s friend Emily Roberts and Aaron Lloyd - not so young!

Club ride Tuesday, August 8 - Route 11: (Canaston) Penally, The Ridgeway, Stephens Green (Milton Hill), Carew, Whitehill, Cresselly, turn right at Canaston Bowl, Molleston, turn right for Reynalton, Jeffreyston, Broadmoor, Templebar Road, Pentlepoir, turn left then right into Station Road, straight down into Saundersfoot, St. Brides Hill, Tenby (approximately 26 miles). Sweepers Donna Bradley and John Badham.
Thursday, August 10 - Route 70: (Lawrenny and Templeton): TLC, Gumfreston, Carew, Whitehill, Cresswell Quay, Lawrenny, Martletwy, Molleston, Templeton, Begelly, New Hedges and back to TLC (approximately 27 miles). Sweepers Billy Connor and Nicola Coates.
Note that rides start at 6.30pm from Tenby Leisure Centre car park. Helmets to be worn on all club rides. We ride in three groups, with the aim that no-one gets left behind.
