BRITISH SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIPS in Nottingham- Vicky Jones. As the River Trent too fast flowing Vicky’s race turned into a Duathlon so she ran 1 mile (6mins 15) Bike 12 miles (33.35 mins) followed by a 3 mile run (20.20 mins).

LAKESMAN TRIATHLON (IRONMAN DISTANCE) - David Swan 14hrs 56. Based in Keswick, with a superb transition area at The Theatre by the Lake. The swim took place in the crystal clear waters of Derwentwater, generally regarded on the Lake Districts most scenic lakes.

The bike route made its way to the west coast of Cumbria where competitors got to experience a side of the lakes often unvisited by tourists, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. The run stage was through some superb countryside.

FRECKLETON HALF MARATHON in Preston - Emma Johns and Hatti Sonley (Hayden’s sisters) 2hrs 36.

CLUB RIDES - Tuesday, Route 65: (Cresswell Quay and Templeton): Tenby, Gumfreston, The Knapp, old Sageston rd, Carew Inn, Whitehill, Cresswell Quay, 2nd rt to Cresselley, Jeffreyston, turn left to Loveston, turn right to Molleston Cross, turn right to Templeton, straight over to Tanners Lane, turn right for Ludchurch to old A477, right to Kilgetty crossing main road, Begelley, Pentlepoir and main road back to TLC (approx. 29 miles). Sweepers Julie and Peter Andrasko.

Thursday, Route 68: (Pembroke loop + Maidenwells): Tenby, coast road to Lamphey, Lower Lamphey rd, Monkton, Hundleton, turn left to Maidenwells, down St Daniels Hill, turn right at bottom, then Upper Lamphey Rd, and coast road back to Tenby (approx. 26 miles). Sweepers Jamie Silvester and Dan Belli.
