The ladies finally got together to play their last outstanding club competition. The Badger Bowl is a greensome competition, with the pairing of higher and lower handicap players.
The delay was due to personal circumstances for one of the ladies. However, on a cold, wet and windy day, the two pairs, Mrs. Ann Williams and Mrs. Carole Chichester and Mrs. Lynne Rees and Mrs. Shan Thomas finally took to the course.
The match was closely fought over 14 holes and the pairing of Ann Williams and Carole Chichester eventually ran out winners, thanks to some inspired putting from Carole.
The ladies section is now 40-strong, but is always looking for new players.
The club will be offering free lessons to new beginner men and ladies at the club starting in April. If interested, contact Mick Seal, club manager, on 01646 621453, to book a place.
Club membership starts at a very low price of £395 for a year.
