Pendine's hopes of a strong fourth division cup run to offset their league disappointments came crashing down on Saturday after they bombed out at the hands of Neyland seconds.

Third from bottom in the league, with seven points from 11 games, makes for a sorry return, yet this early exit will allow them to concentrate their efforts on improving their standing in the division.

Julian Blewitt scored the Gulls' only goal in their 5-1 away defeat as the home side, only a few places higher than them in the league, ran the visitors ragged.

Simon Bancroft's remarkable scoring record continued for St. Clears' seconds during their game against Llangwm, but even his brace of goals couldn't prevent them from losing in the cup too.

Despite home advantage, they went down 3-2 against a team sitting one place higher in the league.

In league action, St. Clears went down to their second defeat in succession and dropped a few places in division one as a result.

They lost 3-1 at Monkton Swifts, with Nick Squire scoring their only goal as Craig George, Ryan Griffiths and Daniel Scourfield all scored for the victors.

Angle produced one of their finest performances of the season as they drew at home against Merlins Bridge.

The home side held the Wizards 1-1, with Josh Clark scoring their only goal in a game sponsored by Pembroke Packaging Print Ltd.

Pennar Robins were also held to a 1-1 draw as Ross Lascelles scored their goal against Johnston, while Saundersfoot Sports virtually doubled their tally of goals scored this season during their victory over West Dragons.

The Sports won this bottom of the table clash 5-2 and with eight goals going into the game they now have 13 after Sam Coleman scored twice alongside Daniel Caine, Richard Cope and Rhys Hewson.

Carew remain top of division two despite being held to a draw at Clarbeston Road,

Alex Bailey has been one of their standout performers this season and scored their only goal in the 1-1 result.

Hundleton welcomed back Shaun Donohoe for his first game of the season and he proved to be a lucky omen for the home side as they beat Goodwick United Seconds 4-2.

He didn't score on his return, although his brother Jason did (as he so often has this season) alongside Adam Brown and Craig Asparassa's brace.

Tenby seconds lost their fifth game of the season after going down at home to Milford United.

They lost 4-3 despite goals from Sonny Phillips, Mike Beynon and Jack Christopher.

In division three, Narberth seconds had the bragging rights over Kilgetty following a 3-1 victory, while Carew seconds went down 2-0 at home to Clarbeston Road.

Michael Murray's goal wasn't enough to prevent Pennar Robins' seconds from losing 4-1 at Cosheston Courgars as the home side were led by goals from Josh Sture, Denis Cresswell and Wayne Boswell's double.

Lamphey's march to the title continued with a hefty 8-1 home win over Hubberston as William Davis led the way with a hat-trick. Nico Morrison weighed in with two of his own, before Rhys Griffiths and Richard Williams pounced for goals.

Lawrenny, meanwhile, drew 2-2 with Milford United seconds, with James Durbridge scoring both the visitors' goals.

In division four, Saundersfoot Seconds won 2-0 at Herbrandston seconds thanks to goals from Gareth Hunt and Russell Evans, while Pennar Robins' thirds beat St. Ishmaels' seconds 3-2 after goals from Jamie Groves, Grant Overend and Michael Groves in a game sponsored by Brian's Newsagents.

Meanwhile, Monkton Swifts' seconds had the accolade of going down to the day's heaviest defeat after Prendergast Villa seconds beat them 11-1, with the Swift's only goal coming from Paul Miller.

Finally, in division five, Narberth thirds remain equal on points with second placed Angle seconds after securing their ninth win of the season following a 4-2 at Solva.

Coincidently, Narberth and Angle have both won and drawn the same number of games, the only difference separating them being goal difference. Neither side has lost either, the only teams is the division with that distinction.

Dafydd Wright led the way for the Bluebirds, finishing the game with a brace, while Jacob Layfield and Mike Jolly also scored to complete their win over tricky opponents.

Angle won handsomely at Lawrenny seconds, with Jason Davies and Jason Evans both scoring twice and Luke Wickland once in their 5-1. John Beff scored for the home side.

Carew thirds went down to a 3-0 defeat at Letterston seconds, while St. Florence won their fourth game of the season after a fine 6-1 win at Llangwm seconds.

Jamie Roberts led the way for the visitors with two goals, with the others shared between Adam Roberts, Colin Batley, Charlie Patching and Robert Goldsworthy.

Pembroke Boro seconds won, too, as they beat Camrose seconds 4-2 as Lee Walker, Dylan Hunt and Joseph Williamson with two scored their goals.
