After last week's abandonment due to excessive winds, Narberth were able to complete their Tony Nakonecznyj Insurance Brokers WWFA Intermediate Cup clash at Kilvey Fords and wasted no time in reaching the next round.

The Bluebirds were in imperious form throughout the afternoon and showed little mercy on the home side as they were blown away 9-0.

Matthew Price was the away side's star performer bagging five goals in his afternoon's work, while Morgan Preece was a danger throughout and finished with a brace for his exertions. The other goals were shared between Adi Jones and Justin Blewitt.

In league action, Kilgetty suffered at the hands of rivals Carew as they went down 5-1 away from home. Norton Williams was the visitors' sole goal scorer in a result that hints at a fight for survival even at this stage of the season.

It's often said that teams tend to know their fate at Christmas given it's the half-way point of the season and even though it's a month away, Kilgetty are struggling to keep pace.

They're rooted to the foot of the table with just three points from 11 games and, while a couple of positive results will help them, playing catch-up is never easy.

For Carew, James Hinchliffe was on target yet again and so were Gareth Brown, Alan Townsend, Iwan Izard and Alex Bailey.

Saundersfoot Sports travelled to Hundleton to take on the first division's second from bottom team and they came away with yet another draw.

The Sports are certainly putting the goals away, but that all important winner is proving elusive as they drew 2-2, with Geoff and Jake Marsh finding the back of the net for the visitors.

Narberth seconds were involved in a classic encounter at home to Broad Haven after being involved in a 13-goal thriller. They came out on the wrong end, however, after going down 7-6.

Jake Harding and Tony Evans both scored a goal apiece in this epic goal fest, yet Dafydd Wright and Josh Layzell felt the bitter sweet taste of defeat the most, with each scoring a brace in this cruel defeat.

Lawrenny and Tenby seconds were also involved in a close match, with the home side eventually coming out on top 4-3.

Owen James scored twice for Lawrenny, with Steve Campbell and James Bodinger also scoring, while for Tenby Mo Sofin scored one and Ricky Rees Thomas two.

Manorbier United won their third match of the season as they beat Clarbeston Road seconds 3-1.

The home side actually scored all of the game's goals as they contributed to the visitors' solitary score via an own goal, but Jake Webster's brace and James Hall's strike ensured the points remained at home.

In division four, Pendine's home game against Monkton Swifts' seconds was postponed, but up the road in St. Clears, the home team's seconds were able to play their match against Milford Athletic.

The result went with the home side as they won 4-0, with Simon Bancroft adding two goals to his impressive tally of scores for the club, alongside goals from Lloyd Evans and Steve Trivett.

Saundersfoot Sports' second team's clash at home against Neyland seconds was postponed.

Carew seconds ensured it was a good day for the club as they prevailed 3-1 at St. Florence.

Ashley Smith was the home team's sole scorer, while the goals for Carew were shared between Scott Cowper, Sam Lewis and Sam Goodwin.

Meanwhile, in division five, Kilgetty seconds' home game against Broad Haven was postponed and Narberth thirds went down 7-2 at Solva, despite goals from James Scourfield and Gavin James.

Carew thirds and Lawrenny seconds shared six goals between them as the game finished 3-3.

Sam Mills finished with two for the away side with John Beff adding the other, while for Carew, the goal scorers were Tom Harries, Sam O'Neill and Alex Moore.
