Football fixtures were thin on the ground last weekend as the season draws to a close for some, while others are playing catch up.
For the majority of teams, the end of the season is a strange affair as they have nothing to play for, while for others they do.
St. Clears are one such team and their game at Prendergast Villa provided huge importance as the 1-0 win secured promotion to the first division.
Owain Evans has scored plenty of goals for the Saints, but it's doubtful he's scored any more important ones as his goal provided the win needed to see them climb the league.
They finish second behind West Dragons, but did enough to sneak past Herbrandston to secure that all-important spot.
Tenby travelled to Goodwick United and showed how many strides forward they have taken this season after such a poor start by drawing 2-2 with the Phoenix Park outfit.
Billy Vaughan and Sam Christopher continued their fine goal scoring records by grabbing one apiece in an impressive performance.
Kilgetty were also in action, yet with nothing but pride to play for, their 10-5 loss away at Clarbeston Road meant nothing. It was no way to finish their season, but Jack Franklin won't be complaining as he scored twice alongside Josh Bevan, Liam Phillips and Jake Proctor.
In division three, Lawrenny made mincemeat of Hakin seconds by beating the Vikings 4-1.
Owen James and Sam Davies both ended with a brace apiece in what must rank as one of their finest performances of the season.
Pendine's fixtures are coming thicker and faster than anyone's due to the amount of postponements they faced during the season and after a couple of defeats they managed to produce a stellar performance to beat Herbrandston seconds 6-2.
Robbie Waters was the man of the moment as he scored four, while Chris Evans added another alongside an own goal.
Saundersfoot Sports hosted Prendergast Villa's second string, but lost 5-1 in a one-sided affair.
Geoff Marsh grabbed the home team's solitary goal in a disappointing display that was their 14th defeat of the season.
Kilgetty seconds entertained Letterston, but lost 2-1, while Lawrenny seconds were another team who failed to make home advantage count as they lost 3-0 against Haverfordwest Cricket Club.
Manorbier United reserves were away at West Dragons seconds and secured a 3-3 draw against the leaders.
Mike Brown and James Hall both scored for the visitors, with their third goal coming via an own goal by the home side, which mattered little to them as they are promoted anyway.
Meanwhile, St. Clears seconds were without a fixture, but they had cause to celebrate as they, too, secured promotion during the week to make it a memorable weekend for the club.
