St. Clears' chance of winning promotion and the cup disappeared on Saturday after they were knocked out of the division two cup in the semi-finals.

The Saints lost out to Prendergast Villa after going down 2-1, with Nick Squire scoring their only goal. Not only did they miss out on a chance for a double, they also lost out on a chance to atone for last year's cup final defeat when they lost out on penalties to Pennar Robins.

It wasn't to be, however, but with eight games left in the league and one point separating them from second placed Herbrandston, there is still all to play for, especially considering they have two games in hand over the second placed side.

In division one, Narberth maintained their good run of form as they beat St. Ishmaels 4-2 away from home.

Never an easy place to go, the Bluebirds showed just why they are currently in second position in the league as Jordan Williams scored twice, Jordan Richards once and Aled Thomas a well-taken penalty to take the points on offer.

Tenby have undergone a renaissance of late and no-where was this better illustrated than at Hakin on Saturday. A trip to the Obs isn't high on the agenda of most players, especially when the home side is smarting after their cup semi-final exit at the hands of a second division team, but for the majority of the game, Tenby held the upper hand.

Darryl Mansbridge, James McDowell and Billy Vaughan were all on target for the visitors as they held a 3-2 lead going into the final quarter, but the champions-elect bounced back to secure a 3-3 draw with minutes remaining to snare a share of the points.

Saundersfoot Sports entertained Pennar Robins and showed no mercy on the visitors as they secured a commanding 3-1 win.

Geoff Marsh, Ryan Howells and Chris Milward were all on target for the home side as they were on top throughout the game against overwhelmed opponents.

Kilgetty entertained Pennar Robins' second team and could only muster a draw as the game finished 2-2.

Mike Beynon scored both goals for the Kingsmoor outfit, one with a penalty, as they earned their third draw of the season.

Carew went down to a surprising loss away at bottom club Lamphey. It's not been an easy season for Carew with the players having to endure a change in managerial styles midway through, but no-one would have predicted this loss, especially the 4-1 scoreline.

Lawrenny had a good day, though, as they beat Johnston seconds 4-1. Joe Kidney was quick out the blocks as he grabbed their first, before Owen James, Dean Morris and Sam Davies all got in on the act to ensure the points stayed with the home team.

Not such a good day for Narberth seconds, though, as they went down 3-0 at home to Hakin United seconds, while Kilgetty seconds also went down as they lost 3-1 at Fishguard, Josh Lewis scoring their only goal.

It was derby day at Manorbier as the home side entertained Tenby seconds and they proved to be generous hosts as they shipped three goals without reply against the Seasiders.

Pendine's winning run came to an end at Carew seconds as they went down 2-1. Two goals by Johnny Harries secured the win for the home team, with the Gulls' solitary score coming from Chris Evans.

Saundersfoot Sports' seconds had a good day at Monkton Swifts as they won 3-0 and it was an even better day for Ross Gray as he scored all of them, while St. Florence probably wished they hadn't played as they lost 7-0 at home to St. Ishmaels seconds

It was a good day for St. Clears seconds, however, as they thrashed Broad Haven seconds 8-1.

Unsurprisingly for such a comfortable win, the goals were shared around with Neil Thompson, Dorian Davies and Jamie Goodyear all finishing with two apiece, while Lloyd Evans and Joe Lewis added the others.
