Pembrokeshire Schools Under 15s 0
Afan Nedd Schools Under 15s 1
A single goal separated these teams for most of the game and was conceded when Pembrokeshire made a slow start.
As Pembrokeshire got their passing game together, with Geraint Harries in good form in midfield, they looked more dangerous in attack and created a couple of chances, the best being when Dafydd Bevan brought a good save from Ben Stevens in the visitors' goal.
Afan Nedd always looked dangerous in the wide positions, but fullbacks James Worrall and Nathan Williams stuck to their task to restrict the crosses, while Fraser James and Jack Parkinson looked composed in the middle of the home defence.
Pembrokeshire's slow start to the second half invited the visitors to attack, but Ben Pepper stood firm in the home goal and made several good catches under the crossbar.
Pembrokeshire introduced Dylan Davies and Lewis Atkins into the attack and Will John made a good start in the team, working tirelessly, mainly on the left side.
Pembrokeshire's good passing produced at least two further goal chances, but the final shots lacked enough power to trouble the goalkeeper.
The home team's all-round team play was satisfactory, but lacking in a bit of individual flair that could have surprised an organised defence.
Pembrokeshire Schools' next home match is against Swansea Schools on Wednesday, March 13, venue to be confirmed.
