Pembrokeshire jump jockey Lorcan Williams continues to make his mark in horse racing - with his story taking centre stage in the latest ‘Champions: Full Gallop’ documentary.
Most recently, on Saturday, November 29, Lorcan won the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle aboard Golden Ace for trainer Jeremy Scott, marking the trio's second Grade 1 victory together.
Golden Ace previously stormed to victory in the 2025 Unibet Champion Hurdle at 25/1, sealing a dramatic and career-defining moment for Williams.
25-year-old Lorcan who hails from Amroth has steadily carved out a name for himself in the fiercely competitive world of jump racing.
After a successful point-to-point career, he turned professional in 2015 and quickly emerged as a rising talent.
Recognised for his resilience, quiet determination and tactical skill in the saddle, Lorcan has earned regular opportunities in high-stakes races and built a reputation as one of the most promising young jockeys in the sport.
His growing partnership with trainer Jeremy Scott has been central to his recent success, rooted in trust, hard work and a shared drive for major victories.
Earlier this year, Lorcan won the Champion Hurdle on Golden Ace, goving him his third win at the Cheltenham Festival.
As a teenager, he had to make a decision between horse racing and rugby, having been picked up by the Scarlets, but he was given an ultimatum by his parents before making the tough call to pursue a career in horse racing.
Now, in the latest ‘Champions: Full Gallop’ episode, viewers will see Lorcan’s story take centre stage.
From the early mornings to the high-pressure moments on race day, the series follows his steady rise, and delivery of a standout moment, as an unexpected and emotional victory brings long-overdue recognition to his tireless work ethic.
