Dozens of girls from two Haverfordwest schools have enjoyed the chance to try out a host of new sports and physical activities thanks to Sport Pembrokeshire.
The Us Girls event held earlier this month at Ysgol Caer Elen was designed to encourage teenage girls to be more physically active by trying out a range of Sports and activities offered within the local area.
Over 50 girls from Caer Elen and Haverfordwest High took part.
Activities on offer included: zorb balling, tennis, self defence, golf, netball, basketball, rugby, gymnastics, table tennis, dance & zumba offered by local clubs and providers.
Dan Bellis from Sport Pembrokeshire, said: “It was brilliant to see all the girls enjoying themselves and getting the opportunity to try such a wide range of activities. We hope that some have now found a new passion and been inspired to join a local Community Club.”
The event was supported by Young Ambassadors from Haverfordwest High and thanks go to Morrisons, Princes Gate and Hair Syrup for the refreshments and prizes supplied.
