Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club held a Rover last Sunday Eight fished and every angler weighed in!

Results were: 1. Franco Attanasio with a Smoothhound of 2.20kg (10 points); 2. Ollie Gibson with a bag of 2.09kg (eight points); 3. Llew Rose with a bag of 1.800kg (six points); 4. Joe Protheroe with a bag of 1.560kg (four points).

Golden Peg was not recorded.

Recorded fish inclded LSD, Scorpion Fish, Pollack, Wrasse and Smoothhound. All fish were released.

Sunday, June 23 - Beach Rover sponsored by Kilgetty Motor Factors. Sign on at Kilgetty TIC by noon, fishing 1 - 6 pm. Weigh-in at the RAOB Club, Kilgetty, by 7 pm. £100 first prize, £50 second.

Saturday, July 20 - Caldey Cup sponsored by Argosy Restaurant, Saundersfoot. Catch the first boat to the island, meet at the slip by 4 pm to return, weigh-in at the Captain's Table at 6 pm. Note - two-rod match, with a different method to be used for each rod. Subject to weather conditions.

Sunday, July 28 - Rover. Meet at Kilgetty TIC by 3.30 pm latest, fishing 4.30 - 10.30 pm, with the weigh-in at the Captain's Table by 11.30 pm.

Saturday/Sunday, August 24/25 - fourth annual 12-hour overnight sponsored Rover, this year to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Cymru. Meet at Kilgetty TIC by 7.30 pm, fishing 8.30 pm to 8.30 am, with the weigh-in at Sandy Hill Cafe by 9.15 am. Followed by full English breakfast. Two-rod match, prizes for top five anglers. No club points for this match, sponsor yourself with the match fee.

June and July matches - round two of the Singles KO sponsored by Powell's Cottage Holidays: Aaron Sutton v Franco Attanasio; Tony Ormond v Mike Williams; Gareth Protheroe v Peter Strydom; Llew Rose v Leigh Rogers.

SSAC meetings are held at the Sports Club at 8 pm on the first Wednesday of each month, with the next being on July 3. All welcome.
