We deserve a break, more easterlies. Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club held a match at Freshwater East (pictured above) on Sunday and 16 anglers braved the conditions. Result? Nothing to scales. Again.

Golden Peg was not recorded, but the prize fund rolled forward. The winner will be able to buy all of Cyprus soon.

Sunday, April 28 - length match at Pendine beach sponsored by Pembrokeshire Scaffolding. Sign on at the car park by 1.15 pm, fishing 2 - 7 pm. Weigh in at the Captain's Table by 8.30 pm. £100 first prize, £50 second.

Sunday, May 5 - Estuary Rover. If fishing the Cleddau, upstream of the bridge only. Sign on at Kilgetty TIC by 12 noon, fishing 1 to 5 pm, with the weigh-in at the Cross Inn, Broadmoor, by 6 pm.

Sunday, May 26 - Tenby South Beach sponsored by Sandy Hill Cafe. Sign on at Penally station car park by 3.15 am, fishing 4 to 8 am, with the weigh-in at Sandy Hill Cafe, followed by full English breakfast. £100 first prize, £50 second.
