Eight anglers competed in the beach rover last Sunday, mainly fishing Pendine and Ginst. Top anglers were:

1. New girl (Keera) with an LSD for 10 points; 2. Liam Marklew (eight points); 3. Andrew Rogers (six points); 4. Llew Rose (four points).

Forthcoming matches: Sunday, October 7 - Pegged match at Llansteffan. We are grateful to Mike Sayell and Ian Griffiths, of Posh Wash and The Captain's Table, respectively, who are both sponsoring this match, for existing members only. As a reward to our regular members, we can confirm that the first prize is £200, second prize £100, which is almost as good as some Open matches these days. Sign on by 7.30 am at the first car park in Llansteffan, fishing 8 am to 12 noon, with the weigh-in at The Captain's Table after the match.

Sunday, October 28 - 'Match within a Match' - Tenby Open. Tenby Open rules apply, SSAC match fee is just £1 plus Golden Peg. Both signing-on and weighing-in will be at the Ex-Servicemen's Club in Tenby, beaches to be fished are Tenby South and Saundersfoot, from 10 am to 3 pm. Check times for signing-on.
