Sailing

Skipper's Mate has been away on holiday enjoying the unaccustomed summer weather, but far from water (for recreational purposes that is), so no opportunity to enjoy the conditions for sailing.

By the lack of news filtering back to me, it would appear that maybe there has not been enough wind for dinghy sailors to do any sailing either.

Race Officers Training

It was very encouraging to have a really good turnout for the race officers course provided by John Griffiths two weeks ago. Hopefully, we are seeing a new group of helpers and competitors emerging, which is really good news for the club.

John has compiled a written guide for running races and this is now included on the website.

Club Races

The last mid-season series race is to be held this Sunday at 4.30 pm - bring the sun cream and some (drinking) water!

Voyage to Lundy

A small armada of cruisers from SSC and TSC made the voyage south visiting Lundy where they encountered a number of other visitors basking in the sun and sometimes whistling for wind.

They then progressed on to Ilfracombe before returning back across the Channel having enjoyed a very pleasant summer cruise.
