During the May Bank Holiday weekend at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff - Ollie Wheeler, a Greenhill School pupil in Tenby, scored two goals for Swansea City to help them win the Senior Welsh Trophy at the Welsh Hockey Cup Finals 4 - 1 against Bridgend HC.

His first strike came with a short corner drag flick ‘slung’ into the top right hand corner of the goal which proved unstoppable and to cap the win Ollie drilled a ball from the top of the ‘D’ in open play past the defence and keeper.

His performance was described by Greenhill’s assistant headteacher, Matthew Davies, who came to watch him, as ‘Salah with a Stick!’

Another weekend, another sport, another medal - as at the West Wales Athletics Championships, Neath - Ollie became U20s Long Jump Champion, winning by 1cm!

Jumping into a 4 metre headwind it was not going to be a PB this week but in his first year in the U20s he did himself, his Club, Pembrokeshire Harriers, and the school proud in holding off the competition with a 6.19m jump.

To add to his long jump Gold Medal, Ollie received Silver in the 100m and Silver in the 200m with a new PB.
