Tenby RFC Under 16s put Pembroke to the sword on their own ground on the weekend.

On Sunday Tenby U16s travelled for a rematch against Pembroke.

The first half was a battle, with both teams looking to attack when given the opportunity but also, defences stood strong.

It would take the quick feet of Madoc Evans to break the deadlock and score the first try of the morning for the Seasiders. Tenby’s forwards continued to push hard from that point onwards, and patiently working through the phases, they were rewarded just before half time with a well earnt try for Spencer Odley.

This was converted by Madoc and put Tenby into the half time break with a 0-12 lead.

The Seasiders came out flying in the second half, with some quick hands along the attacking line by the backs finding Callum on the wing who took the opportunity to score and after a conversion by Madoc the lead was extended to 0-19.

The forwards continued to work hard, retaining the ball and creating the perfect platform for the Tenby backs to run the ball and create some fantastic try scoring opportunities.

Two tries followed for Alex Stock one of which was converted by Madoc and also a try for Jayden Allen who showed his strength to crash over, to see Tenby sitting on a 0-36 lead.

The last try of the morning came for the Seasiders when an individual run through the Pembroke defence saw Alex score his third of the morning under the posts.

The try would be converted by ‘Player of the Match’ Jayden and the Seasiders came away with a 0-43 win.
