THE South Pembs U14s Sharks have been crowned West Wales champions after beating East Swansea Eagles 14-12 in the West Wales Cup Final at Ammanford on Sunday.
After a tough season and last week’s semi finals against Teifi Timberwolves, The Sharks produced another impressive display to take the win.
Both teams played with pure passion for the game but it was the Sharks who shaded the first half to take a 14-0 lead into the break.
As the second half began The East Swansea Eagles pulled back with a try but couldn't convert, and shortly after they scored again this time gaining the conversion.
At 14 - 12 The Sharks had to dig deep and with all their might managed to keep the score until the final whistle.
South Pembs Sharks is an inclusive Female Rugby Hub. They are always looking to recruit new players from Year 6 (11 year olds) to their new under 18s squad.

All girls are welcomed, it doesn't matter whether they have played before or never picked up a rugby ball. Their coaches thrive on teaching the girls who then enjoy learning new skills as well as keeping fit.
The South Pembs Sharks have been running for seven years and we are now able to offer four age groups - u12s, U14s, u16s and U18s - who have all been sponsored by Ty Francis at New York Welsh.
As the hub continues to develop, the need for more coaches increases. Anyone interested should contact the club.
Sunday’s game was their last one of the campaign before they start again in August ready for the new season in September.
Anyone wanting any information regarding the club can contact them via their Facebook page on South Pembs Sharks Female Rugby Hub or contact the on 07932658461.
