FIRST XV

The continued unpredictable, seasonal weather interrupted the league programme yet again last weekend, with the snow cancelling the away trip to Haverfordwest; leaving yet another game to be rescheduled, in what is building to a very challenging end to the season for all clubs.

Consequently, here is a reminder regarding forthcoming fixtures that have been confirmed to date. Tomorrow (Saturday, March 10) sees an historic match at home, kick-off 2 pm, when we take on Deri RFC in the quarter-final of the WRU Bowl competition. Deri will be bringing huge support, so we hope that we get equally large and vociferous support to cheer our lads into a possible semi-final place. Deri come with a very good league record and this proves to be a tough assignment for our squad, especially as it looks like it is going to be another very wet week.

On March 17, we play Tregaron away, kick-off 2.30 pm, and there is room on the team bus for any supporters wishing to make the journey; the bus is likely to leave the club at 10 - 10.30 am, but please call the club to confirm this time in advance.

March 24 we are away to Laugharne, kick-off 2.30 pm. Again there will be places on the team bus for supporters - please check with clubhouse regarding departure time.

April 7 Cardigan home, April 14 Laugharne home, April 21 Aberaeron home, all kick-off at 2.30 pm.

We still have to play league matches against Cardigan away, Milford home, Llangwm home, Haverfordwest away, and Quins in the semi-final of the Pembs KO Cup - dates will be announced and publicised as soon as they have been confirmed.

YOUTH XV

The Youth also were not in action last weekend because of the snow, which was a great loss as they are very keen to get in as much game time as possible over the coming weeks.

Thay are due to play Neyland away tonight (Friday), kick-off 7 pm, in a game in the new Intermediate Plate competition organised by the new WRU led Pembs Game Management Group (GMG).

They are also scheduled to meet Whitland and Aberaeron in a series of matches to decide the outcome of this competition.

The Youth are also preparing for their historic match versus Risca RFC in the semi-final of the WRU National Youth Plate competition, which is due to be played at the Carmarthen Athletic ground on March 24, kick-off 2.30 pm.

This young side have performed so creditably to date in all competitions and especially this one, and they are very keen to make the finals day in Cardiff. We hope that a lot of supporters will travel to provide vocal support for the lads on a day when dreams could come true for them all, after a very emotional few weeks.
