Pembroke RFC’s U7-U11s entertained Fishguard last Sunday morning, in their first round of matches from the County Junior matrix. All of the matches proved to be highly entertaining for the large numbers of parents that had turned out to support their squads. Both clubs secured wins, but at this level it’s just great to see so many young players participating and enjoying the game, the results although significant for the children are not really the focus for the coaches and clubs; as all of the coaches on both sides stressed, the development of the players’ skills and rugby intelligence is of far greater importance. All of Pembroke’s age groups are pictured alongside.

The club welcomes Patrick Russell and James White, who have taken up the challenge of being the joint coaching team for this season’s Under 7s squad; we thank them for their commitment and wish them, the children and their parents an enjoyable and fulfilling first season.
