Thanks to a generous grant from the Sports Council of Wales and the untiring efforts of club members to raise funds, New Hedges Short Mat Bowls Club has been able to purchase an electric mat winder. Seen with the equipment, which will be a great help to the older members, are Arthur Pettifer (vice-captain), Dorothy Simms (treasurer) and Anne Nutton (secretary), with other members looking on.
