Last Saturday, Pendine were at home to Milford Haven who had beaten them by a few shots earlier on in the season.

This match, as happens in many soccer matches, was classified as a game of two halves with Milford up 40 shots to 24 at 10 ends, but after that it all changed.

On rink two, DKT's four could not find line or length to match Brian Davies's four who were 6-0 up after five ends and 15-1 up after 10 ends, but then tea revived Pendine and they found some form and fought back to win seven of the last 11 ends, picking a two and a five on the last two ends to just lose 18-23.

Rink three had Mal Evans against Manno Lloyd's quartet in which the latter was 6-5 ahead at the tea break, but thereafter, Mal's unit, with the skip at the fore, turned the heads around and won eight of the last 11 ends to win 20-9.

Rink four had SKT versus the loud and ebullient Tony Ellyatt's lads, but Stewart got Pendine in the lead being 12-7 up at 10 ends, but then only won three of the last 11 ends to just go down 15-20.

Rink five saw Arwel Edwards opposed by Keith Wood's rink which included the appearance of the semi-retired and former county skip Don Griffiths at second. They were 12-6 up at 10 ends, however the second half saw Pendine being successful on eight of the last 11 ends to win 23-15 thus providing two winning and two losing rinks to each team, but the overall comeback resulted in 10 points for Pendine and four points for Milford Haven.
