Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure and Dave Wooles Decorating) played away to the Black Rabbit A on Monday evening and were 3-2 winners.
The first frame saw Glyn Davies play Ian Forrester. Glyn once again could not find any true form, although he did play better than in previous weeks. There is still room for improvement, however, and unfortunately he was well beaten again.
The second frame saw Mark Cleevely play Brett John. Mark started slowly (unusual for him), but then got his cueing arm going to pot some great balls. He continued to play well throughout and went on to close out the frame comfortably.
The third frame saw Steve Barlow Jr. play Gareth Aries. Despite potting some excellent balls, Steve was never really in this frame as Gareth proved too strong for him.
The fourth frame saw Steve Barlow Snr. play Mike Roberts. This was a close affair, with Mike potting some tremendous balls. However, Steve has been in good form of late and potted well himself, to take the frame on the pink.
The final and deciding frame saw Darren Morgan play Nick Roberts. Darren has been struggling to find any form of late and continued to struggle in what proved a scrappy frame, with both players missing simple pots. However, Darren eventually won a nail-biter by potting the inevitable last black, superbly.
