In arctic conditions and on a heavy green, Mariners lost to St. Kath's, who mastered the conditions better than the home team.

Outstanding for St. Kath's was Derek Mathias's rink, who led from the start.

For Mariners, Graham Bann and co played their usual game to win 23-16. Dave Halward's rink pulled ahead on the 19th end to win 21-19. Gerrard Thomas's rink gave away a three-shot lead on the last end to lose by one shot.
